Goal: Run sub 3 in marathon next year
Background info:
Male, 6'1", 220 lbs, 46 yo
12 marathons, 5 ultras
10K PR: 38:30 (10 yrs ago)
Marathon PR: 3:05 (@185 lbs)
Plan:
Time based program
Slow and easy jogging 6 days per week
Pace no faster than 8:45/mi
M-F 1:45-2:00 hrs per day (1-2 runs)
SAT 2:00-3:00 hrs
Lose 40-50 lbs
No dedicated speed training until I've lost at least 50 lbs. That means no speed training for first attempt a sub 3 at Gma's in June 2018.
