I see a lot of people running with headphones these days, but I can't figure out a comfortable place to put my discman while I run. Where do you all put your discmen when you run?

Same way I get drugs into jail
I'm letting out a big sigh on this one. You don't even get a rating. Just a sigh.
Come on. Learn to troll at least enough to warrant a 0.5/10. Can you do that?
Discman? Silly girly man. I run with one of these
:
I carry a betamax VCR and a 13 inch TV on my long runs, so I can watch old episodes of M*A*S*H. Ahh, Klinger...
Just don't use the disc man if you're running on a track. The counterclockwise rotation of your body makes the disc spin faster relative to the player, thus making the music unlistenably fast.
fanny pack, moran.
OK guys. I know it's a troll thread but...
In one role I work with challenged athletes, many with PTSD. One in particular must be in movement- running, cycling, lifting- to keep the demons in his head at bay. He uses over the ear headphones because 'they won't fall out' and carries a disc player in his hand. Really sad to watch.

We had an all American sprinter 44.x and 1:47x who warmed up with the distance guys for early track workouts after he turned pro. He did that because he said running was boring. We ragged him for about 3 weeks but then gave up.

This is a ridiculous troll thread. Everyone you see with a discman wears it on their hip.
I do like that you use discmen instead of discmans. I never really thought about it, but I would say walkmans and discmen and I'm not sure why.
Good golly... get with it folks, and upgrade to a Sony MiniDisc player. Small and compact, and don't skip...

What a sexist thread. "Diskman" might have been considered a appropriate term in the '90s, but we should really be a little more advanced than that by now. Discperson would be more acceptable, but discindividual is really preferable, as "person" might be an alienating term for those who don't necessarily identify as people.
Weird I just posted the same question on my Geocity.

I forget, I was in the middle of buying property in ActiveWorlds. I'll ICQ it to you.
Does your discman have anti-skip technology?
Honest response--
Back when I was a sophomore in HS and was relegated to running 1/2 mile loops around the neighborhood I would place the discman into a plastic bag, wear a long sleeve shirt, and then duct tape it to my upper arm. It usually worked for about half the run before it started skipping too much because the whole set up started falling apart.

Holy hell, this is amazing.
Born in 1979, can confirm.
