My xc season ended today and I am planning to take a week off from running. Indoor doesn’t start for awhile but I was wondering, will I lose a lot of fitness from this week off?

You will probably not lose any fitness.
I've barely run over the past 2 months since my goal race (probably about 10-20 mpw ave with multiple weeks of 0 mileage). Ended up PBing in the 8k during my Turkey Trot and felt fantastic the entire race. Big caveat is that I have gained no weight during this period of infrequent and sporadic training which, I think, is the main reason I was still able to run particularly "fast." Had I actually been training seriously during this time I would have no doubt smashed my PB out of the park. All in all you will have lost minimal, if any fitness after one week off, especially if XC season has been stressful.

My experience is next to nothing, at least over the long term (i.e. anything more than a week or two).
Usually if I have a week off, my first day or two back is crap. Like 10-20% worse. Then usually after the first run or two, I jump almost right back up to where I was, and by the end of the week back to training I feel just about identical to where I was.
That said, if you start having a few of those in close proximity, then you start to see the fitness not going anywhere.
