Hello, my XC season finished up last weekend, and was wondering how this off-season training schedule looks like for track.
After a couple weeks of easy runs I was thinking this:
Monday: Easy Run (7-8 Miles)
Teusday: Alternating between Pure Speed (5x60) and (20-30 Minute Tempo run)
Wednesday: Easy Run (7-8 Miles)
Thursday: Off or Short Easy (3 Miles)
Friday: Repetition Work (8x200 with 200 Jog) Workouts like that
Saturday: Easy Run (6-7 Miles)
Sunday: Long Run (10-12 Miles)
Many easy runs will have strides at the end of them, and I will include core and strength work a couple times per week.
How does this training schedule look like?
Ran 60 mpw last summer and 45-50 mpw in season.
Also what times do you think I can run this season?
I ran 17:07, and 4:58 last track season.
