How much should one expect to PR in FL South? Hypothetically, if one were to not run in a single race below 80 degrees beforehand.

If your shape is good, and the temps are good, the higher level of competition and fairly fast course can give you a nice 20 second PR

It used to be an almost automatic PR because it was about 80 meters short but they added 80 meters Drew Hunter's senior year. Not it's pretty fast but mostly because of competition. It's easy to go out too fast and have it backfire though.

So is it now actually 5k? I wouldn't want a PR on a course that's 80 meters too short.

It used to be short but now it is a true 5k. The course is still fairly fast but like people have said not an automatic pr like in years past.
