Certainly possible, run consistent easy mileage over the winter; touch on pure speed once a week (sprint session), do strides, a light tempo and you should be good until the track workouts start; but you already know this; just run baby
Sounds like a great goal. Very realistic with good solid training. I did the same in college.
It depends on how/how much you've trained in the past and how you're going to train this winter and spring. For example, if you ran 40 mpw last year and run 60-65 mpw this year, I'd give you a solid chance. If you ran 80 mpw last year and do the same this year, I'd give you only a very small chance.
All things are possible with Jesus. Have faith in the Lord, and He will provide.
I'm happy with all the optimism. I did like 35 MPW last year for my 4:23 and I bumped it up to 70 over the summer. Most likely will do 50 this year. I hope it's possible!
Wait I can't see how running more easy miles will help me mile speed. I guess I get it through the winter, but not in season. don;t you just wanna do like 400m repeats.
