Hi! I could use suggestions from you guys about what would be best to wear for my upcoming race.
I'm a female runner who is fairly new to half-marathons. I'll be racing my third half on Sunday. I've gotten lucky with the past two and the weather has been phenomenal so I didn't really have to think about my race day clothing too much.
For this upcoming half, there is supposed to be a drop in temperature. It's been 60s-70s lately, but on Sunday there is supposed to be a low of 30 degrees. The race starts at 8:30 so it may be a little warmer but probably not above 40. I'm not really sure what to wear. My goal is to run under 1:30, and I know I won't run my best if I'm freezing my butt off, but I also won't run my best if I'm sweating and burdened by too much clothing.
From those of you who have ran in 30-40ish degrees before, do you get colder the longer you're out there, or does your body eventually warm up? What do you wear to cold-ish half marathons?
