There are 3 other threads on the half marathon in Valencia but none praising Jepksogei solely for her run. She ran 1:04:51 to break her old WR by 1 second.
Just as in her first world record (her 1:04:52 half in Prague) she went out crazy fast. (1:03:36 pace at 10k). She was paced by Ezekiel Kemboi and actually was 22 seconds slower today than in Prague but that helped her hang on at the end to get the record.
Her 2017 World Bests
April Prague 1:04:52 Half
and set 20k: 61:25
15k: 45:37
10k: 30:04
records en route.
September 10k WR: 29:43
5k record en route: 14:33
Today: 1:04:51
With better pacing what do you think she could run?
For those of you wondering how she's done on the track, Jepksogei ran the Kenyan champs and was 57 seconds behind Alice Aprot running 32:47, so she must not like the track at all or run that well at altitude.

Why does she not have any hair? Is this the african Beauty Standard?
It's more hairodynamic. -
Joyciline Jepkosgei according to IAAF is officially the seventh woman to race sub-66 half Marathon. We should begin to see numerous women racing full Marathon sub-2:17:30. According to IAAF only two women have raced sub-2:17:30

Flanagan is a nobody loser has been and nobody cares what she thinks.

She looks like a 50 year-old man...
But kudos to her! I would love to see her run a full marathon. -
I wonder if her contract has WR incentives, because she's racking them up. And 1 second at a time is the revenue-maximizing strategy.

When she moves to the Marathon, Paulas record is toast -

Breaking a 13.1 record by one second puts even Sergei Bubka to shame. -
Ahahahaha......you left out Halloween, considering we are in the month for it. LOL

No you didn't. You are a disgrace to the human race. -
Wow, amazing to see an elite runner like herself push herself so hard. She really knows how to endure pain.

Goodness! With all those World records Joyciline must have minded lots of dollars in 2017 enough to last a lifetime!
On a separate note, second placer Fancy Chemutai(65:36) moved from 30th all time to 6th! My prediction is, she will own the record within the next two years. -

30 flat pace for 10km then keeping going to a works record at half marathon. Does anyone believe that is clean?
I do. Saying a performance is doped is high praise in these parts. -
It is said in several articles that she was paced by steeplechaser ezekiel kemboi but looking at this photo we realize this is not the olympic champion.
