Went to the track. Decided to turn on strava on the phone to see how accurate it was. I did 1:45 (7:00 pace) laps mostly on the dot. Ran 5 miles. The splits recorded by Strava were all over the place, but mostly way optimistic, like 6:44 and 6:39!!
If you are training by GPS on the track and not actually recording your split time, then you might be way off.
