Why is it that the USA seems to hate their own top end Marathoners while no other countries exhibit this behavior?

It's an extremely loud minority. That's the answer.

Well, Bekele did get pushed down to the ground and trampled during Dubai. His manager implied it was an Ethiopian who did that. That's kinda negative.

American's tend to use social media a little more than your average pro runner, plus it's culturally acceptable behavior here. It's not culturally acceptable in Kenya/Ethiopia or in any other civilized nation (excluding the U.K., of course).

The 2016 presidential election is a lesson learned . Don't take any posts at face value. I'm sure most of the attack comments on Rupp/ Hasay/Salazar come from nike's competitors , while I bet most of the Goucher attacks a year ago
