I've been running since summer started for me around 20-30 mpw. I started running to build my endurance for the 8oo meter run. If I haven't been doing speed workouts am i going be screwed when track comes around. Any tips

Do some speedwork. Urwelcome.
Two words - Summer of Malmo
At least do some strides, kid. Some real speedwork would be good too, some 200/400s.
Do all-out hill sprints with long recovery.
You are on the right path. Low miles and no speed is the formula for 800 success.

Yes, you will be "screwed". Or to put in other words, you won't be at your best @ 800m. You'll have a higher injury risk too once you suddenly start the track work, without the speed base.
Tips
-short (~50m) uphill sprints followed by a couple of 80m flat ground sprints, all with ~3´rec, relaxed maximum
-vary with 90% effort sprints up to 150m, ~3-5´rec.
This might be helpful. A video presentation I did on 400 and 800 meter mixed zone training. https://youtu.be/2QSB30GiCYs
