Was Paul Short actually short?
I'm curious about this as well. I've ran it in the past and it was about 20-25 seconds faster than any course I had ever run -- even exceptionally flat courses.
Every year this thread appears. Paul Short is as fast as Dellinger, etc. It was a great day to run. Many guys on Strava had about 4.92 miles.
I ran it and had 4.96 on my watch. Cross country courses will never be exact, I think 4.96 is close enough, and could just be user error (cutting turns short).
Maybe, but it is a very fast course in general. I know people who ran similar courses and get similar times.

Do all jokes go over your head? If it was the Paul Long Invite then "Was Paul Long really long?" threads would pop up every year. Got it?
I can not sneak anything by you can I, RU Retarded?
It's the first time in a number of years there was no mud, no excessive heat, and no rain/cold. It was about 55-65 degrees when the important college races took place. Blame the fast times on the amazing weather.

Oh, come ON! "Paul" is the adjective and "Short" is the name. We all know that "Paul" means "seven-foot-tall human" (of COURSE we do!). It's like my friend "Big Mike". Mike -- the name -- is of an enormous size, as in b-i-g. Thusly, Short (a most common first name. Whaaa? You don't know anyone with this first name???) is a tall mofo. Got it?

Haha, it is absolutely not 4.92 miles. It is 4.96-4.97 when run with a GPS
Oh course its short. It was 10k back in my day.

It was also an absolutely perfect day for running weather wise.

Right and GPSs are never off by 0.05mi over 5 total miles. GTFO. Unless it was wheeled, we dont know.
If times were suspect, they will remain suspect until a trustworthy poster wheels it. Next.
Pauly Shore is 5'7"
A little short.
If you go to the results website runhigh.com, you'll see this posted "COURSE MEASURED BY ON COURSE RATING SYSTEMS". Unlike most courses it actually seems like it is measured by an outside entity.
Just about everyone I see run there has :30 sec or more improvement over their seasons best time,,then when they run a normal course (a real 8k) their times jump back up again..

**it's been wheeled, and wheeled and wheeled... it's within 1% accurate
1% of a 25 minute 8k is 15 seconds

Was a foursport athlete at Lehigh, but never a XC or track runner. Never coached XC or track, but was a devoted fan and booster.
