So I've trained with Hoka Clifton 2's for the past 4 months of my marathon prep and have around 800 miles on them.
I should have probably bought new shoes atleast a month or so out but I wanted to wait out on some sales that never really happened...
So at this point i'm 2 weeks away from my marathon and i'm wondering if I should just run in my Hoka's?
I would suggest getting a new pair of the same model and not go with a different model. I assume that with 800 miles on them you liked them and they did well for you.
Two weeks is plenty of time to "break in" shoes. (Shoes really do not need breaking in, but you want some miles to make sure they do not rub in the wrong place.)
Ideally I would recommend having gotten them long enough ago to do a long run in them.
