Does this annoy runners? Ran a race today and this dude annoyed the hell out of me

Haha, no not fast at all. A lot of people are faster then me. I'm just wondering if people are annoyed by the yapping.

What annoys me is recovery runs and some hobby jogger tries to race me, naturally I can't let them win off course. But I am bloody sore the next day. 😲

Hobby Jogger - someone who has or who would race a hobby jogger in a workout. This goes triple if it makes you sore the next day.

Sounds like a decent masters miler hopped in a 10k to support the local scene without wanting to race it hard. That's nice.

What REALLY annoys me is runners who don't know the difference between then and than.

My bet is you are over exaggerating greatly, and he was probably a friendly guy trying to make some jokes. The fact that he brought up drafting off of you was his way of telling you that he is at least self-aware of the fact that he is being some-what of a jerk for making you do more of the work (it's called being polite).

You condescending feeling superior to him in both social ability (debatable), and speed (not debatable, at least that day), and then going onto a message board and letting thousands of people know that you, special you, beat him, and that you, special you, consider people like him annoying and quite beneath you makes you the one grasping for attention.

I honestly believe you have no idea how hypocritical you are. The way you feel and act is something more common among high schoolers. Many grow out of it, but some don't. Some might call it a lack of intelligence, but if you are an adult and you still haven't realized how hypocritical you sound, it is actually just narcissism.
