I know it was founded by Presbyterians, but how religious is the school and its students?

If this is an issue for you, I'd suggest spending a day or two at the school. You should be able to get a feel for it. My college had church connections, but you'd never have known it.
If you're smart enough to get in there, you're smart enough to figure this one out.
My basketball coach, Jerry Kroll, played there in the 70s. He was one of the best players to come out of Houston. They had a heck of a team with two other studs.

I mean... you do REALIZE that most private universities were founded by religious groups, right? A 2 second check of their website is pretty clear that religion/their religious heritage doesn't really dictate or involve itself in campus life -

Yes, I realize that. I have read what they say on their site. Wanted to know if anyone here had any first-hand knowledge.

Davidson is not a religious school; however, the Charlotte NC area has more churches than bars so if you are anti-religion, it might not be the best fit. On Sundays, half the kids go to church and it would not be out of the ordinary to see guys say a prayer before a pickup basketball game for example. Other than that, in terms of college life, its probably not much diffident than a typical state school except it cost twice as much.
Brown was founded by Baptists. They are full of Jews.
It doesn't matter who you were founded by. It matters what you are now.

Davidson gives some of the best financial need of any college in the country, so if you make less than $100,000 a year as a family, and you get into Davidson, you might pay less than you would at a state school.
The correct answer is no. It was founded as a Christian college, but so was Harvard. It is not a christian school, and while it has a decent sized Christian population, it cannot be considered a Christ-centered institution.
look up Grinnell College while you're at it...
only problem with Davidson is traffic into & out of Charlotte; North Carolina as a state had a LOT of issues with "Jesus" (sic) & god-bothering even before the Trumptards arrived but there's a lot of great people there too.
& even Wake Forest is libertine if you know how to play it.

You are correct, Davison is not a Christian school, the kids drink, have sex and do whatever kids do at a state school. But, unlike a typical state school, I would say at least half of the Davison kids go to church on Sunday. I think that just reflects the Charlotte area. The NBA's Stephen Curry went there and he's a devout Christian, which is probably something most people didn't know.
