The Lunaracer 4 is not on nike.com, and runningwarehouse.com only has a few pairs in weird sizes and colors left.
I was sad about the Lunartempo being discontinued, but was relieved that the LR was still available.
Are they discontinuing all their $100 shoes so that they can sell more $250 shoes?
The Vaporfly is not on the website either. Why don't you call Nike and report back? I'm a big fan of the Lunaracer but would like to give the Vaporfly a shot.
I emailed running warehouse since they usually know about these things, here's the reply:
Thank you for contacting Running Warehouse. The Nike LunaRacer is no longer in stock. This item has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no future availability. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
So it seems like the Lunaracer is gone for good. Buy em up while you can!
Good. They make better and more attractive models at better prices. Pegasus, Streak, Flyknit Racer to name a few.
Thanks. I contacted Nike's customer service to see when they might get some more Vaporflies. It was a complete waste of time -- dude didn't have a clue. Not sure they will have my size (14) anyway as the biggest I've seen is a 13. Perhaps it's time to move on from Nike.
Damn. Lunaracer has been my go to flat for 10+ years.

What shoe out there is similar to LR?
I've been wanting to try out the Streak 6, this will probably push me to finally do it. I understand the Streak not as soft as the LR, but then I don't necessarily need soft for the cushioning to be adequate.

I trained in the LR for a couple of years then switched to the Streak 6 this spring. You won't be disappointed especially if you plan to use them for racing/race efforts. The difference in cushioning may be a factor if using it as a daily trainer, but for me the switch to the 6 completed my transition back to flats as a daily trainer and have more or less eliminated the rest of my naggling injuries.

Cool. Yeah I'd use them for workouts and races, maybe for a total of 20 miles a week.

The VaporFly 4% is not being made in a 14.0. Largest they are making is a 13.0.

Yep, the LunaRacer is gone. Was a good shoe. With that shoe gone and the LunarTempo gone last year there is nothing in the line currently (or that I've seen through the first quarter of 2018) that will replace that spot.
Oh, this stresses me... I'm sad to learn that lunaracer is discontinued. I've been running this model so many seasons setting PRs both on 5K, 10K, halfmarathon and marathon. It is really a lost, but I almost knew that this day would come. Which shoes should I turn to then? I love the lunars so any suggestions for a comparable model? Kind regards Martin

Why the top shoemakers don't understand the consumer. They come up with great stuff and discontinue production. Gotta change the brand then, c'mon!
