Just curious what everyone's take on this is. I know of a 26 year old male track coach who talks to high school girls on the team via AOL Instant Messenger as well as on the phone. Not just about training and whatnot, but personal things, such as who they are dating, etc. Allegedly, one set of parents actually started screening their calls because of this coach calling their daughter so much. This coach is also musically inclined and has written and recorded a song for one of the girls. He also invites the girls over to his house (granted, he also invites the boys track athletes at the same time.)
I truly don't think anything 'bad' is happening, but how many of you out there would consider these things to be examples of an inappropriate relationship between coach and athlete?
