Obviously there's a 0% chance this happens, but it did get me thinking. What if, in some wonky world, he did manage to take down arguably the strongest distance record on the books? Would that silence any haters? Would it convert anyone to the "Mo Farah GOAT" camp? Or would it just further entrench people in their views... dope-accusers accuse harder, GOAT-supporters support harder, etc.?

It would give him a better argument for being the GOAT, but still not a great one. He is not in the GOAT discussion because there are people who have won a ton of championships and also run world record times, not one or the other.

I do not consider Mo in contention for GOAT status any more than I would consider Komen for that honor.
