Courtney Frerichs could have a 20-30 second PR in the flat 3000. I'm definitely excited to see that.

Interested to see if Klosterhalfen is done for the season or if she'll end up in top 5 in a loaded and fast race, running a new PB.
Murphy is done
Andrews is done
I don't think I am alone in wanting to see what Quigley can do. Zurich?
Why does England get two DL meets when they both suck? They should have to combine them into one meet.

Looks like mo is looking for a last k in 2:14 to break the wr.
I had to bump this thread as it was buried on the 2nd page. I know I am starting to sound like a broken record, but has this site completely lost it's way. Will this DL thread even approach the interest that the "Will the animals go blind without proper solar eclipse glasses" got? Bizarre.
Meet is live on BBC Now. Olympic Channel coverage starts at 10 am eastern.
Alemu just won the 800. Charlene Lipsey had lead at 500 when rabbit dropped out. (58.72 at 400). Paced slowed to 90.73 at 600 where Hinkrisdottir took lead. Lynsey Sharp came up on turn to take lead but Alemu blew by her the final for the win in 1:59.60.
I subscribe to NBC Gold and I don't see any track events; just pole vault and long jump. I wanted to see the the women's 800m and I definitely want to see the mile.
Am I missing something? I need options.
I'm a big Robby fan through thick and thin and always root for him. Go Robby! Also Jenny S always! Most interesting to me will be womens 3k

Link? Thanks.
We know some of you may be still suffering from Worlds fatigue but this meet has some pretty darn interesting things going on in it.
America's steeplechase heroes Emma Coburn and Courtney Frerichs will battle in a flat 3000 as Jenny Simpson tries to qualify for the DL final in the 1500. Plus Clayton Murphy and Robby Andrews try to shine in their comebacks from injury.
What are you most excited for?
Womens 3k pace is 8:22.5. If the pacemaker does their job Obiri could look to challenge her Non Ma chinese outdoor WR
Again I am extremely dissapointed by Farah. It was expected, but why make your final race on home soil so lame. Nobody even close to his level in the field, and a pace for 7:39, whybeven have pacemakers for that?
It's so obvious what's going to happen. Farahs going to go to the back immediatly and then begin to slowly make his way through the field, until he sits second with 500ms to go, then he will take the lead at the bell and then do an Ovett style showboating last lap trying to getting the crowd excited, being like look at me I'm so great I'm so much better than everyone, while racing second tier athletes. He will win easily, and BBC will say what a great preformance it was from the greatest athlete ever.
*PUKE*
The meet has already started even though the international tv window hasn't begun.
Our post-race videos are going up on youtube as we speak.

Mile came down to a battle of 2 Brits.
Pace was 1:57 at 800 but no one wanted to go with rabbit. Evan Jager then led and Chris O'Hare stalked him. On final lap the milers took over. O'Hare had the lead with 200m to go and then Wightman stalked him and they battled the entire homestrech for the win with Wightman winning. Blankenship was a ways back in 3rd. Robby Andrews finished last.
Robby sucked again. I believe I have heard him mention that his contract expires this year. I don't know if the USA championship is going to be enough to help him secure a lucrative contract going forward. He hasn't done much on the international stage.
Is Colleen Quigley running in the 3k?
She's super fine even if she steps on the line

BBC feed for US:
800 was uneventful.
Erik Sowinski tried to challenge him a bit but faded as Nijel Amos won the 800 with ease:

400:
Dwayne Cowan, only fourth entering the homestretch, came up late to edge Vernon Norwood just before the line and win in a PB of 45.34 . Josephus Lyles, brother of sprint sensation Noah, got a lane and underperformed running 46.75 pb of 45.30.
Cowan is the son of Lloyd Cowan, a former British 400m runner who coached Christine Ohuruogu.
3k underway. It's stacked with Obiri, Hassan, and Coburn and Rowbury.
