They were engaged before she left Wetmore and began being coached by her fiancé.

This situation is WAY different. They were teammates at CU.

He just decided to coach his GF

That way they don't have to trust anyone with their PED regiment. Everything is in-house.

Not saying Coburn does this, but many athletes have historically done this.

Also many live a closeted life in a bubble where they don't meet other people. Also who can relate to somebody that has sleep 9 hours+ and eat a spartan diet and avoid alcohol and junk food and their life is exercise. If they don't marry their coach, they tend to marry a former athlete or somebody they knew before they became a pro athlete.

Been a couple for at least 5 years, the following is from the 2012 Olympic Trials in Eugene:

This isn't like Conley and Wartenburg. In that situation, he is 20 years older and was her college coach and it started when she was still in college.

In the case of coburn, they're the same age and they were dating long before he started coaching her.
