I just posted in another thread but I think they won because they took the lead from Mo on the straightaway before the bell. He may have still been run down because Edris ran a hell of a last 400m, but this put him in a position he hasn't been in. I believe in all of his gold races he ran in front the whole last lap, and here he was having to try and catch up.
