I just went for a mile time trial and aborted at 600m as I went out too hard - not flat out 600m pace, just too hard for a mile.
Went again a few minutes later and got about what I was expecting, matching my current VDOT. This is a 6 min mile by the way as I'm nearly 50. The first half was easy, the second was harder than I was expecting, breathing pretty hard 2/2.
How would the first run have affected the time I eventually did, roughly?
