I have a stubborn soleus injury that all the time gets better after a few days of rest and even disappears completely but then gradually coming back while going back to running. I read some where that it shouldn't be massaged but only give it rest and strengthen the muscle. No massage and no stretching whatsoever. What do you think?
From my perspective it sounds logical because pressing on a hurt area again and again could worsen the area couldn't it? I never understood the principle behind a massage.
