I couldn't care less if she was born in France or not. She's not French. I would watch if she was jumping for Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast or whatever, but certainly wouldn't in this case. Perhaps this is one reason why a lot of people have tuned out of athletics?
El Paso is at significant altitude and has some pretty fast meets so that is likely why they come. The American Collegiate season pre conference meets is a good lead in to the European outdoor season.

As long as this kid wasn't brainwashed by her parents, then all good. Swimming has Michael Andrew, who went pro at 14, after crushing national age group records. After setting expectations that he was the next Phelps, he's failed to live up to that bar.
Somehow, what Drew Hunter and parents did was " better". Does 3 years make that much difference? I think so. So much can change in physical development in 3 years.
