Who makes his schedule?
That person should be fired. He's in NY dinking around with 3:40 runners when he should have been in Lausanne running 3:34-3:35 with 3:30 runners and gaining valuable race experience.
If Bayer can get in then the US champ should not have a problem.
Don't tell me "the US Champs was a surprise result" because he was second last year so he should have expected to be top 3 this year and had a plan to run a fast time after the US Champs.
Robby Andrews race scheduler - Fire that person now

He doesn't wanna stray too far from his BF, Clayton Murphy -
I used to really dislike Robby as a racer because he would always hang stupidly far back and try to kick for second or whatever. I always thought he was foolishly overconfident in his kick.
After that last race and his subsequent interview, I realized that I was wrong about him. He isn't overconfident in his kick; rather, he totally lacks confidence in his ability to go toe-to-toe with the big boys and actually contend in big races.
I think that is the reason why he has always preferred to beat up on C level Americans rather than going to fast races in Europe. -

It's about a 7 1/2 hour flight from NYC to London. It's about 6 1/2 from NYC to SF. OTOH, it's about an 11 flight for Centro to London from the west coast. -

1. He was already in Sacramento before he raced in SF
2. There would not be enough time to fly to Lausanne and overcome jet lag
3. Faster competitors doesn't mean you run faster. DL races are huge and there can be too many guys running 3:34 pace to fight with for positioning
Definitely the right choice. -

Jet lag didn't seem to bother Lipsey. Almost two weeks is plenty of time to overcome jet lag if he would have gone directly from Sacramento.
Running with a bunch of fast guys fighting for positioning is pretty much what London will be like. He failed to make the final at Rio because he got boxed in the stretch - which led to his DQ. How will he learn to race in those situations by avoiding them? And most people run their fastest times running against fast competition. -

Once again you prove yourself to be an idiot, Dutch boy wanting to MAGA. -
Agreed. Should have gone to Lausanne. Doubt he gets the standard.

Why would a Diamond League meet invite Andrews when there are a large number of better milers begging to get in?

The directors don't just look at times... they look at credentials. He would have gotten in had he wanted to do so. -

L O L guess you can get the heck out of here. not only did andrews get the standard, but he still didn't win. what, 4 guys went under?? great race
-
I'm glad the race was quick enough for him to get the standard, but he still should have gone to the proper meet in Lausanne.

Why? That would have been a gigantic waste of time and money for very little/no gain. -
predict Andrews performance at worlds thread going up
-
Robby doesn't race well after travelling. He's said that in interviews before. All the more reason to stay in the US to chase the standard. Plus he saves some cash

You and the man who used the hashtag have been proven wrong.
Look at your number 3?
You can apologise and the other dude get destroyed.
And you are a shhit for brains for being a conservative when liberals were the ones allowing you into the country, Dutch boy.
