All of the local tracks are asphalt, so I'm not going to be able to use my spikes. Anyone have any suggestions for racing footwear for asphalt?

Either the New Balance RC 150 or some xc flats or xc spikes with spike blanks in place of the spikes. Nike used to make some flats that would have worked nicely, the Niobe, but I haven't seen them on the market for YEARS.
Personally, I wouldn't go with the RC 150s on asphalt, they are a great shoe, but there is nothing to them. Since you are a High Schooler and probably race 1 or 2 times a week for the whole season. I would go with something with a bit more support, otherwise you are just asking to get hurt. My suggestion would be something like the Nike Ghost Racers, and then if you absolutely have to have something light and fast, I would get the RC 150s and use them only for your larger meets. Racing in those too much can easily get you hurt though. Just my opinion.
So you wouldn't want to train everyday in the rc150? I thought I would get it for everyday miles & workouts. I weigh about 170 is that too heavy for the rc150?
Woodtown, I know how you feel. The only time I raced on rubber tracks was at a few invites and region and State. I enjoyed the Nike Waffles. I wore the same pair for three years in high school. They worked great! The new ones have a little more cushioning than the older pair I had. Try those out.
Nike Waffles always served me well on my home parking lot-esque track.
Thanks for the responses. I've got a pair of waffle flats left over from XC so I suppose I'll put them to use again.
They are used all the time for 5k's and 10k's on the road, no reason they wouldn't work for the mile or 2 mile. Ghost Racers (which aren't even made anymore) are much too bulky for racing a mile or two mile in unless there are untold biomechanical problems that haven't been addressed. If you have XC waffle flats, those would work great, too although they are maybe a hair heavier than the RC150.
