I've had a similar scenario. Except I'm married and I am a female. Husband has given me several ultimatums - him or running. When I told him I wanted to train for the Olympic Trials, he told me that would be 'selfish' and didn't want me to. Tried to compromise for a long time, but long story short we are going through a divorce. You can't make a runner not be a runner - it's who we are. Good luck, get out and RUN as fast and as far as you can. Trust me, you won't regret it. Also, she will likely never understand and make you feel like a bad person for making this decision. Just troll on LR and you'll feel better.
