Galen Rupp Comes Up Short for USATF Title #9 - Then Blows Off The Media

I just don't understand what the fascination was with him running the 10,000m yet again in 2017. He's obviously a full blown marathoner now -- with Olympic level success etc. Why go back to the track again this year? I don't get it really.

Galen Rupp refused to talk to the media after coming up short in his bid for an unprecedented 9th 10,000m USATF title.

Rupp blew through the mixed zone without stopping, but then had to go back to get his bag. So he passed the media to get his bag and then on the way out.

He didn't stop for questions and USATF staffer Amanda Brooks walked up to him and said, "They really want to go talk to you."

Rupp shook his head and exited to his manager Ricky Simms.
