Early pick is Morgan McDonald based on 3:57 mile and 13:23 5k while redshirting. Going back in time Patrick Tieran won U18 XC title in 2011 while McDonald won title in 2012.

Nope.
Grant Fisher.
Or Justyn Knight.
No way he beats Grant Fisher or Justin Knight he wouldn't have the speed to outkick them or the strength to run away from them
I guess you thought Patrick Tiernan couldn't beat king ches either. We'll see in November.

McDonald is good and should definitely be top 5, but you said NCAA favorite. The NCAA favorite should either be the top returner at 2nd place (who incidentally ran 6 seconds faster than McDonald earlier this year) or the person who finished 5th and beat the top returner on the track. I'm rooting for Fisher to become first American winner since Rupp (08).
A new kenyan will appear at a school and be the favorite.
Maybe the guy who won D2 nationals who transferred to D1, or a random from eldoret at Arizona or Campbell.
What you are all forgetting is that he has run two races this spring and a 3:57 mile and a 13:23 5k and this bodes well for success next XC. He is the same mold as Tieran and wouldn't be surprised at all if at 1k to go he pulls away from others. McDonald has obscene talent as a 16 year old he won National XC for U18's by defeating another kid who had run 8:08 for 3k. We'll see but I won't be surprised if he wins and if you are ready this you shouldn't be either.
Vincent Kiprop of Alabama will win. Don't sleep.
Men: Grant Fisher or Justin Knyght
Women: Karissa Schweizzer
Karissa will be very strong, but will be pushed to the limit by the Kenyan at New Mexico who would have had the fastest 5k time in NCAA this spring if she hadn't redshirted.
Right now, McDonald is not the favorite. Knight and Fisher are 1a and 1b. McDonald is a contender and had a strong performance in that 13:23, but that doesn't make him the favorite.

McDonald didn't redshirt. Was Big 10 5K Champion. But didn't qualify for regionals

Guaranteed Ednah Kurgat of UNM will win it. UNM women will be a top 5 team

^ this...and applies to women
Anything can happen from now until November and anything can happen over 10km on race day.
If McDonald, Knight, and Fisher are all healthy and fit come November, I have learned to never... I mean never underestimate Grant Fisher. He has shown so many times through HS and now college, coming in as an underdog, to be top dog. He had a breakout year this year on top of steady annual improvement which causes me to feel he is ahead of what some people might be thinking a 20 year old star should be.
I would like to see an American win NCAA XC. It has been a while. Fisher will only be 20 years old come November and all of the other predicted contenders are older. If an African transfer or newly minted "African freshman" arrives - they are in their mid twenties which isn't fair.
Strictly on time, Knight, McDonald, Fisher in that order. But Fisher has not been in a race this year, where the pace has been fast in-order-to get a fast time. Strictly on how the three race: Fisher, Knight, McDonald. Last I heard NCAA XC is a race.
All three are talented athletes and come across as nice guys. Any one of them could win, I am pulling for Fisher. It will be fun to watch.
Nobody has faith in the D2 guy? McDonald won't be able to break away at 1k because Kiprop will not let him go. Thank God he transferred. For the next two years, nobody will be winning the 5k in 14:30 as he will make it blazing from the gun
