It's half court, 10 minutes or first to 21.
I'd pick Demarcus Cousins, Klay Thompson, and Kawhi Leonard.

Last thing, it's 4-person teams.
For a sub, Karl Anthony-Towns (in case anyone wants to oversize their team)
Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, LeBron James
Kevin Duran, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green
That's the team.

They also added 3 more swimming events. As if there are not enough.

Awesome! They need the 3 best NBA guys.
Lebron wont do it. Id say Durant, Westbrook, Anthony Davis and Kawai
Woody Harrleson, Wesley Snipes, and Bugs Bunny.
In 3 on 3 you want smaller guys with good handles and aggressive moves to the basket. I'd pick Harden, Westbrook and Anthony Davis. That's an unstoppable combo. Westbrook always plays on pure hate so would win every time.
I'd bet good money that none of the superstars from the 5 on 5 team will play. Possibly won't even be NBA players
Is it going to be true streetball? No blood, no foul?
Lonzo, LaMelo and LiAngelo Ball. Coached by Lavar.

That's what the article suggests, that qualifying will come from existing 3-on-3 teams.
My opinion is that this article is biased towards the current 3-on-3ers. "athleticism doesn't matter as much"? Really? That's because you haven't played against actual world class athletes. What I'm saying is your passing and shooting and "angle" skill helps against the other YMCA guys, but that goes out the window when Lebron James knees you in the face while he's dunking on the entire team at once.

Except they won't be representing the US, rather The Big Baller Republicâ„¢

Pretty much. Now the NBA might not want to play a game with a wacky ball (i.e. how much does it mess up your shooting touch) and spend any time learning the game but if you think there you couldn't find 4 NBA's that wouldn't dominate, you are crazy. Those 4 guys might not be the best players in the NBA but the odds of find the combo of shooting/ball handling/defense you need is just too high. One on one guys like westbrook, kyrie, and the like are just going to kill people.
Where it might be interesting is for the teams with say 3-4 legit NBA pros but not much after that.
Several of my friends are former NBA players. They play 3-on-3 national tournaments. They do not always win; I asked why. They answered the dynamic of the game is very, very different. The most important attribute - chemistry.
It would be the equivalent of rugby 7s to the full XV game.
It's a different game. For sure them US would do very well and likely win, but other countries will at least have a chance.

Bill Murray as alternate.
Durant. Irving. Don't care.
Wow, that was pathetic. I'm all for tactical racing, but that was a new low.
