there has to be a ton, and probably lots of pros also. Im guessing 80% of coaches read letsrun. My hs coaches do

can confirm that my hs coach also reads letsrun.
Fro the country, and read being defined as looking at it at least once a week, your answer is 638
My hs coach did not. My college coach does.
Most, and most won't admit it

What state has the most visitors?

Since the average coach is overweight an estimated 200 lbs, this means 10 coaches read LRC
Every coach I have ever met at the collegiate level is familiar with letsrun.com on some level.
I think the higher up you are in the sport the less time you spend on this site, but all have been on the site at one time or another.
Well, it's a subset of those who can read, so that gives an upper bound.
A lot, and many troll on the boards as well.

This is my intuition as well.
My coach says he's heard of it but doesn't post
I coach high school and do read Letsrun. I am not overweight so I guess according to that comment in some sense an outlier. I respond to some posts but very rarely begin a new thread myself.
I evaluated this stuff pretty heavily and determined that there's a base of about 550,000 of you out there in the USA "who care" enough to want to read things like letsrun. There is a small percentage compounding that number every year. Those are the die hards that never leave the sport.
By contrast 20,000 high schools, 1147 ncaa schools, some juco/community colleges as well. Not a 1:1 ratio on that.
I dont think 80% of college coaches read letsrun unless you count inorganic traffic that lands here but the bounce rate is likely high and the perception of letsrun is shady enough that people wont admit to coming here regularly. But I'd estimate a good 18-25% do on a regular basis.
Nah...I have no stats, but any coach that I have a more of a relationship with beyond common courtesies at meets and the convention has made fun of letsrun, or referenced the coaching rumors thread (even if it is just for laughs), or casually mentioned it in conversation in one way or another.
This has been my experience with GAs, JUCOs, DI mid majors and power 5s. Do I think Power 5 head track coaches care much for this site...no, not really. But, by the way they ocassionally talk about it I'd wager most check in on it a few times a year, maybe more in the summer.
I was unaware of this site until my college years in the mid 2000s, when my coach told the team to stay off it (so of course those who were unaware of its exsistence checked it out).
It didn't stick with me then, and I forgot about it all together when I got away from competitive running. When I became a GA in '10 I rediscovered this site after the 60+ year old head coach I worked for showed me the coaching carousel thread.
The man refused to do his banking online, but he he checked letsrun...
As a coach I think it's great. I love the "week that was". And while there is a lot of toxicity on the boards it feels great when your program or an athlete gets a positive shout out here.
I even miss X_fit_guy_the_real_one. Some of the back and forths he had on the boards were great.
I coach at the D1 level and read it very frequently. Lately, I have been posting on threads asking about training advice. A lot of coaches I compete against also read it. Some are mildly successful, some are very successful (NCAA qualifiers, team qualifiers, all-americans, etc.)
If you sift through the fun part (trolling, rumors, funny threads), you can get a wealth of information. When people ask me about my coaching philosophy I do mention some of the coaches I admire...but to be honest, letsrun.com allowed me access to that information when I was just starting out. I think a lot of coaches can credit the site for that. You really got the best of both worlds here. There is a knowledgeable running community with great advice while also having a fun, troll side to everything.
Guys, guys, guys. The answer is 7.

Not to be arrogant, but how in the hell would you follow the elite side of the sport without coming to LetsRun.com? I would certainly hope it is close to 100%.
If I was an AD, I'd want my coach following the elite side of the sport. I guess one could argue that a college coach doesn't need to follow the NFL but I'd certainly think it's beneficial to have a mind that is interested in the sport - otherwise you are like a teacher using the sames lesson plans year after year.
ALL the ones I know read Letsrun, Track and field News, IAAF.org, All Time Athletics and most have subscriptions to Tilastopaja.
Everyone who is in a field/sport wants to stay informed of what is going on in their field/sport.
There are only 3 people who post on letsrun anyway, just using hundreds of different usernames. It's not me, OP. It's the other guy.
