Yeah, well, as Clark Griswold might say, I think you're all f***ed in the head. It's true that banking time on that course is a doomed scheme, but this observation doesn't apply to Ryan Shay and others near the front. Shay wasn't running for time and 1:06:30 for the first half of that course is not quick in relation to his abilities, although the conditions gave him a good dicking up the road. On a toasty day with a headwind, he could have gone out in 1:08 and still not mananged better than 5:30's for the second half.
