Relay 4x100 DQ

Runners cannot leave their lane. Clear violation.

The other team should have been DQed too.

If you are in lane five and then run in lane four in any part of the curve, you are running a shorter distance and get an advantage.

Going from four to five is a disadvantage.

I want to know how they managed the exchanges with the runners criss-crossing.

If that last runner was "put" in the wrong lane it sounds like the officials mistake.

Since it's middle school and an apparent official mess up plus a big margin of victory, I think they should have overlooked it and not done the DQ.

It's really the kids fault. They should have known which lane they were supposed to be in. At the very least when they saw the third leg running in lane 5 they should have moved into the right lane.
