They take water breaks during burpees
As Frank Shorter once said, "How did I know you ran a 4:30 mile on a crossfit "certified" course? That's easy, everyone ran 4:30 for the mile in crossfit."
Didn't that fad end in 2015? I used to see a group run around the block as part of their training, but never see or hear of people in this organization anymore.
Wasn't that Bailey guy a decent 400 runner at Ohio?

Dan Bailey was mediocre by letsrun standards. Almost everyone here ran faster than 49 in the quarter
There are many but all of their fast times are from before CF. CF makes you slow with no endurance whatsoever.
Oh, yeah. There were a bunch, this one time. The steroid abuse turned them into 80-year old weaklings.

Former UK runner John Richardson (3:59 mile) is now into crossfit.
I'm pretty sure Rich Froning could run sub 16 minutes for the 5K if he tried.
;=)

I am not surprised about this. Crossfit competitors are incredible athletes. All the chinups and lifts they do at the crossfit games is something just astounding for me to contemplate - I would be literally torn apart physically and likely hospitalized if I attempted such an event (severed spine, broken knees and pelvis etc ..). There was also one crossfit games where they had a trail run event and I just remember seeing these huge guys just absolutely blasting up these monster hills. The crossfit women competitors also look amazing.
I should probably take up the sport but I don't think I am mentally or physically tough enough to do so. Distance running just seems like a more reasonable and enjoyable activity for me to do even though I am left feeling inadequate with my crappy PRs ...
Jay Darrell Ingleton.
He has run WR performances on a TM based on CF training.
What causes people to post fake world class times? This is probably the third guy on instagram I've seen do this (Terry Varicelli, other guy whose name i forgot). Does it stem from obsession? Do they really believe they're that fast?
I work with a crossfitter who was telling me how a n athlete from her club was great at a particular workout. She explained that it was an endurance workout and that he was a runner as he does 5ks almost every weekend. She explained that he had a body of a runner about 5'8" and 180 pounds and runs 5ks in the low 20s.
I can't figure out cross fitters either

They don't do chinups. They do "kipping".
They also do high-rep olympic lifts with improper form.

This guy needs to be internet murdered. Everyone needs to call him out on his BS.
I was disappointed when I saw that Alexi's uncle was into cross fit
LOL he ran a 1:05:10 half marathon on the treadmill. Such BS. My guess is with his stance he's used to standing on the sides while the treadmill is moving. Amazing that so many idiots are buying into it too.
