I ran my first 800m race. I took it out in 66 and came home in 68 (2:14), running a pretty even pace. I'm running only around 15-20 mpw, mostly intervals and the occasional longer run (5-7 miles). I used the fall to run xc (with an 18:51 PR) and the winter to swim. The last workout I completed was one called the 5, 1, 2's. It was a 400m at 72-75 pace, 100 sprint at around 14 seconds, 100 jog, and then the last 200 at 30 seconds. I ran the first one in 72, 14.7, than 30. Break was around 7 minutes then I ran 74, 14.5, than 29.9. I've got about 4 weeks to go in track and would like to know some good workouts to do to get down to around 2:10.
