Tough one, that. Hmmmm ...
Assuming you're in el segundo or playa del rey I'd recommend hitting up the bikepath on the beach. It's good enough for me.

i'm staying literally across the street from the airport, so i'll be about a 4 mile run (each way) from the beach.
Take a cab down to state beach and run. If you are really across from the airport, main street in El Segundo is not bad (basically the closer you can get towards the beach the better). Whatever you do, don't go towards the east. Otherwise run on a treadmill.
Get a ride to/from the beach. You know, guuber and the other one.

yep. corner of PCH and W Century Blvd.
If you're staying across the street from LAX you are not 4 miles from the beach. Granted, it's not a scenic run, but if you take Westchester Parkway or Imperial Highway west you can easily access the strand and run along the beach. Running south toward El Porto and Manhattan Beach will give you more uninterrupted path to run than heading north towards Marina Del Rey & Venice.
You may also find it easier and safer to run along Westchester Parkway, depending on the exact location of your hotel.
If you are looking for a track, West LA College is not too far away. St Bernard HS also has an oval, but I don't know if they have upgraded from cinder to all weather.
This is a good run.
The old Nude Nude Nude place on Century Bvd is gone. You could have gone in there and watched the show and got your heart rate up and called it workout.
Or you could have gone in and got your heart rate up and ran loops of the parking lot.
If you want to pretend you are a member of the Warriors, you can run through Imperial Courts, Jordan Downs or Nickerson Gardens.
