Molly Beckwith Ludlow - drug positive or not??

She's retired from running and trying to have a family. Clomifene is a well known infertility drug.

So that was it - she had a positive test, had medical backup, and then told USADA she was retiring, so they didn't give her a ban. Personally I think USADA way oversteps their bounds with situations like this, or with Dawn H-N.

Accidental or not, I hope this wasn't the reason she retired.

How is it that women get a slap on the wrist for this but for men it's a 2-4 year sanction?

Are you that dumb? She was using the medication to get pregnant, proved it, and got a warning. A man taking an infertility drug is obviously using it as a masking agent.

Do none of you have an even entry-level knowledge of physiology? Do you guys just use the term "masking agent" for everything?

Clomid is not used to mask drug use. It's used to inhibit the effects of estrogen that would cause gynecomastia and other negative side effects when coming off a steroid cycle. It does not mask anything.

Exactly, it's definitely not a masking agent. It increases testosterone levels even among those who were not previously taking some sort of exogenous testosterone. It is not ok to use hormones for family planning that are banned, otherwise a man should be allowed to use exogenous testosterone as birth control.
