On Monday, February 24th, Dave Bronfenbrenner and I, both Bucknell Univeristy class of ?00, will depart from Sea Bright, NJ to attempt a transcontinental run. The run is projected to cover 3200 miles, 11 states, and roughly 5 months. Our final destination is Florence, OR. We will be attempting the run without a support crew and without paying money for lodging. Our packs will be kept light enough (about 12lbs) so that we can still run. www.runtheusa.com is now fully active and 95% complete. It is entirely dedicated to documenting our adventure. It can answer nearly any and all questions that you may have about the logistics of our endeavor. I strongly encourage all of you to follow along with our run. The website will be updated regularly with pictures and journal entries. We are NOT looking for money to support a cause or charity. The only help we seek is that of lodging. The website has a detailed list of towns that we will pass through. PLEASE take a look at this list. If you or anyone you know lives in any of the towns on the list and could host us for just one night, please contact us so we can work out the details. Our e-mail addresses and cell phone #?s can be found on the website. There is also a message board on the website. Feel free to drop us a line there as well. You can call us any time for any reason. This run is being done for the sole reason of adventure and chasing a dream! We?ve both left our jobs and put our lives on hold for this pursuit! So once again, please, please take a look at the list of towns and let us know if you can help us secure lodging along our route. Thanks for your time, we look forward to hearing from you, and keeping you updated about our condition and whereabouts??..Scott Sehon
