BOSTON SHOE CHOICE Zante, 1500, 1400 or 1080?

I use the Zantes for short quick training (fartlek, 5k time trials, 8-9k tempos) and as casual slip ons, they would be great for a sub-elite marathon shoe but they have poor grip when the pavement is moist (raining off and on) it is like ice skating. Luckily for you I tried on the 1500v3 on Thursday and I concluded that they were an identical shape/cut to the Zante with better grip/traction but the soles were a lot harder than the fresh foam Zantes (the down side). If you could find the 1600 in one size larger perhaps. I have never seen the 1400. If it is dry, the 1500 & 1600 will give a quicker time but the Zantes will leave you less sore afterwards. Hey OP I ran a 2:49 in the Zantes a few months ago. Felt like a great shoe for the marathon. They caused me no problems.

BTW I'm also running Boston and shooting for 2:45-2:50. I'm opting for lunartempos instead, only because I don't have a fresh pair of Zantes to wear.
