Going for a 2:49 in Boston and it's going to be a close call. I also have plantar fasciitis (bad enough to make me limp a bit, but ok once it warms up...who knows what happens after mile 20). Which shoe should I go with?
Zante- more cushioning 249, 8.6oz
1500- less cushioning, some arch support, 225g
1400- lightly cushioned neutral flat 176g
1080- heavy neutral, cushioned 293.4g
The cushion + mild pronation control helps with the symptoms. Science tells me about 100g off= 1% gain. But then there's the added boost from cushion recoil.
Over thinking it, but that's part of the fun...#taperbrain
Thoughts?
