We're one week away from Rupp's Boston debut and the Salazar/Oregon Project are great at getting everyone excited only to withdraw athletes at the last moment (as Rupp did at the Houston 1/2 and Centro did this weekend @ASU). What's the over/under that Rupp even makes it to the start in Boston next Monday?

I'd love to see a Rupp victory! No hating here! Al Sal and his team are always smart when it comes to letting their athletes race or rest, I just when they withdraw at the last moment. Ritz (though no longer a member of the group) has done this a ton a times in his career. I understand though...most these athletes are still training (while dealing with injuries/irritations) while getting therapy, etc with hopes they can get better at the last moment to race (only to withdraw if they can't go).
But...it's like your mom getting you all excited telling you she's bringing you to Disneyland only to tell you at the gate that you're not going in.

As far as an over/under on Rupp, I'll say there an over 50% chance Rupp will not start the race. But I'll be hedging my bets in case Rupp is a DNS, and will parlay the field.

Based on his recent dog-tired finish at the Prague half the odds are good that Rupp passes on Boston. He had foot/shoe issues as well.
Race on the womens side far more interesting
I'd gave Galen a 1 chance in 5 of starting, and if starting, a 50/50 chance of pulling out before mile 15
much love/props/and hope for Galen of course as the US's best marathoner, but I think he's not ready for Boston this year.

since we're all just speculating, the news of his foot coming up all the time, and the results from the recent half plus the other pulled-out-from half earlier in the year are some of the datapoints.
He specifically called out his foot post-race interview as bothering him in the most recent half.

He's just playing coy. He's not really hurt. It's more to temper the expectations of the Rupp fan-boys and to give arsenal to the Rupp haters in case of a bad Boston performance. LOL.
