With the wider acceptance, more are coming out of the "closet" so to speak. I personally have no problem with it and could really care less, however when biological males with their inherent advantages begin competing as women, most if not all women have no chance of winning, be it track, weightlifting, cycling or any other sport for that matter. Assuming of course that said biological male is skilled in their specific sport to begin with. Thats blatantly unfair in my view. I'd be curious as to how Mr/Ms Jenner feels about it.[/quote]
I don't personally know any trans people who think that male to females should compete against women prior to having medically transitioned. Most that I know support the IOC's original guidelines (2 years hormones, estrogen/testosterone levels in the female range etc.) I think the NCAA has similar guidelines. I don't see why this particular student can't train with the girls team, be treated as a girl socially and simply compete in the boys category. Perhaps there needs to be an open category that trans and intersex people can compete in along with males and a female category for biological females.
