I always have problems running in shoes 7 ounces or more. Hell, I had to slowly adapt to running in NB Zantes because it felt so un-natural. Now, I have the Brooks Launch 3's(my mom bought them for me) and they are 10 ounces at 8.5. I wear 12, so that's worth an extra 2 ounces or so. They felt very awkward to run in, but I feel better in them now. Problem is, I have the worst shin pain. I am known to be very durable but only in light shoes. I have never gotten more than a minor pain running in racing flats all the time, but this is killing my legs.
Is this something I just need to adapt to? I run mid-foot. I can do better workouts barefoot and have less problems, heavy shoes just kill my legs.
