Do any of you guys watch his youtube vids? Thoughts on them?

I've watched him for years, he's collectively very liked here (Or hated on by the 10% of people who come here just to hate/flame people) But he's mostely liked, he posts on this forum frequently
Pretty good dude just way too much self promotion.
fast guy he is

He addresses this quite frequently. I think a guy like him who's not especially charismatic but does seem like a reasonable, approachable human being benefits from putting themselves out there more than usual.
Big fan of him. He accepted his limits and moved to an arena he can have success in.
I think he's a pretty chill guy, mildly self absorbed compared to other runners. As in he's on the low spectrum, most runners are over the top about it. Definitely would seem like an approachable guy imo. I watched a lot of his training videosn favors on the marathon + distances. Injury prevention, and strengthening. Less topics on the medium distances to short distances.

Lol, Sage is presenting tons of great, free! training advice & that translates into being self absorbed & too much self promotion. 'LetsRun.com - Where your altruism becomes narcissism'. Can't win on here.
Sage could have run
$&&&$---> (@(;;---->%#{#}---->plus no drafting----->in second lane for 5 seconds in the race
13:30
28:00
I'm with kamclam, sage is a good egg. One of the big upsides to sage is the fact that he doesn't ACT like he's better than he is and I give him a LOT of credit fo rthat. He's very aware than he's a sub-elite sort of runner and will publicly proclaim that, and nothing more. He's obviously better in the ultra world (easily "elite" int hat world) but still not touching walmsley, or several other guys, but he's almost always a lock for top5/top10 wherever he races, so he's no slouch.
Simple answer for the haters, don't like his youtubes, don't have to watch em. for the rest of the world, hey, some free training advice is nice.
keep it up sage, you're a good egg in my book.
He's grown on me. Definitely has improved his channel and he is as humble as a guy his speed could possibly be.
His followers make him cringe worthy, it's not his fault that he appeals to the mediocre. Strava, 2 mile cool down 16min = 300+ likes, mind blowing run that.
Yeah I think Sage is a great guy but I can't stand to read the comments section on his videos. People on their are like: "OMG I ran on of those 5k marathons today and I hit the wall so hard at 2 miles that I had to take two gels just to power through the last mile in 10 minutes."

I let it go and am ok with him because I feel he has some sort of disability and think he must lie somewhere on the autism spectrum. If he doesn't, then he's actually just got a horrible personality and there is no excuse for it. Crossing my finders for autism!!
Having fun on someone elses mental disability expense. Real classy. I hope you never have to parent a child with a disability some day.
He will be very successful if that new Hokacise he invented takes off.
I think he's tried to improve his "self image" but it's like watching nails on a chalkboard .... Does he have friends?
Sage is that you?
+1 to his videos getting better. I enjoy them lately.
I like his videos. I have watched maybe twenty or so of them over the years. They are entertaining. A few people on here seem to be coming down on him personally in a fairly harsh manner. I mean he is a goofy dude some times, but so is every serious runner I have known. That is probably why I have enjoyed the videos that I have seen. It is easy to relate to him. The comments about his humility and honesty regarding his career and training are spot on though.
