Chiming in as well. When I ran a 1:26:12 hilly HM, I ran a 3:10:51 a few months later.
Ran a 1:21:54 HM (flat) some time later and then ran a 2:54-low.
I'm guessing breaking 1:23 is a better indicator, or at least 1:23-low. As an aside, I didn't think about breaking 2:50 until I had broke 1:20.
