Terer was the surprise 3rd tonight and said his wife was on the Campbell team. I didn't ask him who it was. Anyone know?
And the other question is how many other NCAA runners have wives on the women's teams at their school. Can't be very many, but I'm sort of curious to hear about others now or historically.
Terer's wife is Joan Maritim. She is a Regional qualifier in the 10k last year and she just won the mile, 3k and 5k as well as being on the DMR that placed 2nd at the Big South Indoor Championships. She has PRs of 16:40 and 34:55. Both are amazing people and so humble. Watch out for Terer in the 3k tomorrow. And the rest of the CU Men and women this spring. Could send up to 4 Distance guys to NCAA Outdoor Nationals.
Better question is how many Letsrun readers met their future wives running at college together? 23 years later still wondering how it all happened!!!

Lotsa Utah teams with married couples on it... SUU had Hayden & Ashley Hawks for a few years, as well as Nate Jewkes and his wife who was a 4:25 girl? All Utah schools have had some husband-wife pairings definitely... Odd culture to say the least but great people.
