Hi all,
So i'll start with a quick back story. I am currently attending community college for the first time at 26. I have another year after this semester before I transfer and I am interested in running track. I ran in high school and I have okay times. I ran a sub 50 400m and 56 in the 400m hurdles. I had a minor injury my senior year which kept me from running all winter and most of the spring, and I decided not to go directly to school and instead to work. After years of compromising myself doing jobs I hate I decided that I want to teach and I went back to school. I've been active in other sports and activities like mma, soccer, and yoga. The point is that I want to compete and despite knowing i have a lot of work ahead of me, I want to see how far I can go. Now that I have a 3 year old I want to set a proper example that she can do anything.
Now the topic says "running after college" however I would like to compete NCAA but i have been unable to get a straight answer on age restrictions, or degree progress and what determines eligibility. I am also aware that despite my efforts NCAA might not be an option, and if thay is the case what might some of my other options be. Im really looking to commit myself and not but run as a hobby. I currently live in central florida.
Please let me know what my options might be and what a good path might be to get there.
Thanks you & best wishes
