Up until recently the runningprs.com calculator was my favorite running calculator by far. It was created by the "tinman" (Tom Schwartz). Does anybody know what happened?
(At least I can no longer access the website)

It is another website that has bit the dust. You people leech off of shit for free, never hit the donate button, complain about it being down, put up your ad block. What do you expect? His site probably cost time and $80-$1000 every year to keep up. What if the guy doesnt have any more money to give you via it? Are you going to hold it against him for not giving it to you free?
$80-1000 is a big range. As far as I know there was no donate button, and there weren't any ads at all.

$80-$1000
Yes it is a big range. Depends on the server type and web hosting costs.
If you like a website show some initiative and ask where you can donate to help keep it going. Even this one.

The calculator was offered on that site to bring people in, increase traffic, sell ads off of the traffic, and buy some of the services. It's like traffic on this site. Revenues come from the advertising due to the volume of visitors to the site. Just by going on the site supports the website and its founders.
I don't think the OP is holding anything against Tinman. H ejust wants to know what happened to it?
Maybe Tinman with his recent success with Drew Hunter has shifted his focus elsewhere in coaching and if so good for him.
I've got one of them. I saved it as a bookmark about 4 years ago and found out it worked offline and could be saved. It's and html document so I'll see if I can get it so it can be saved.
file:///C:/Users/P65/Desktop/RUN/Tinman%27s%20Running%20Calculator.htm
didn't work. give me an email and I can send it zipped.

You unfortunately dont know much about this market at all. I do. Why does milesplit have a pay wall? Why are the brojos pour ads down our throat and then also ask those who use it to remove ad block utilities?
Each visit by a user is literally worth a fraction of a penny. You need a lot of users per day to even come close to a respectable revenue (i.e. $75 per day).
Tinman is big time now. He doesn't need you. His only weakness is that he doesn't understand doping as well as coaches who doped as runners. He also doesn't have the pharma connections. That's the only thing holding him back from elite coaching.
just changed the name of the site

I currently make a good portion of my money on-line. I'm no expert like you though.

Thanks. You're the best, Tinman.
Looks like a McMillan calculator knock off..but more clunky and seems to work half the time.
Hey Knock Off, it's a totally different way to calculate paces built around CV, a$$hat.
Based Tinman, always looking out for the common man.
