With all the buzz about l-carnitine, I figured I would give it a whirl. After extensive research, I decided to take ALCAR in the morning (1.5g) before work, and LCLT (l-carnitine l-tartrate) in the afternoon. 1g an hour before my run, and 0.5g with dinner. It seems ALCAR is a nootropic as well, so it works well in the AM hours. LCLT appears to the be the one that is used for athletic performance and recovery.
What form are you taking? How much/how often? Why did you choose the type you did?
