What is the efficacy of doing a fartlek run after my 1500m race? Should I just do a steady 5 miler instead?
Do iof stresst. The 1500 takes you into overload. Then you can use the work you have already done in the race to get you to new levels of specific stress . Just remember that you need to rest properly the next day. Filbert Bayi said something like "when the others do 5 then rest a bit and do another one more than they do". If you can continue the stress, why stop early?
Give the drugs a rest man.
