How come obese NFL fans look great in a replica NFL jersey but endurance athletes (esp male) look like crap wearing one?

This one's kind of easy and you already know the answer. NFL jerseys are huge.

It isn't that they are huge. It's that obese persons in NFL jerseys more closely resemble an NFL football player, whereas someone running 90 miles per week trolling letsrun with an NFL jersey on looks like the only player they resemble is a punter/kicker or maybe the water boy
There's an exception for women though. For attractive women they can blend well and look great in a well fitting replica NFL jersey
if I were obese I'd wear NFL jerseys daily because it's a good way to fit in and feel comfortable with my body size since the pannus, excess lard etc would make me look like I have shoulder pads on

Attractive women look great in anything. They even look well without clothes.
I don't know about obese people, but "dad bods" look awesome in NFL jerseys. Dad bods rule...you'll see a lot of them at this Sunday's Daytona 500 🤗

True but They don't look great in a football jersey resembling a parachute or smock

I see them almost every time in the advertisements for gunholsters used in concealed carry. Why is that?
Bill Clinton in a suit looked sharp
In a Cotten t and board shorts he looked like shit.
He'd look great in a football jersey.
These are the same men that won't go shirtlessehen it's 95 and thankfully so

An NFL jersey is a sack designed for someone with sloping shoulders. You will never find an NFL jersey for a runner. A boy's size 14 would be too short. There is a reason the grunge look became so "fashionable"....and it wasn't for thin people.
"look great?"
*shudder*

I don't know anything about that...but dad bods rule. Nothing better than seeing a dad bod holding a toddler in one arm and a soda pop (or beer) in the other. Tune in to the Daytona 500 tomorrow and you'll see all the dad bods in the stands. Awesome sight...and the wave of the future 🙄.
I've surveyed many women and they say they don't prefer the dad bod
I don't know who you surveyed, but the latest reports & research indicate that dad bods are a growing interest with women. These guys are awesome and are fun loving dudes! Check out the Daytona 500 and see the dad bods. Monster truck shows, drag racing and NFL games are also good places to see dad bods. Go dad bods!

It's not the body they crave, but the extra attention they expect to be receiving. If guys don't spend time working on their fitness, it means more time they can potentially spend with their woman. I actually get it, as my wife went through a phase where she couldn't stand it when I worked out 10 hrs/week. She felt like I had a mistress named Running. Now running half as much, weigh 15 lbs. more, and voila, I'm a guy with a happier wife but more of a man-bod.
Oops, I meant Dad-bod. I actually never heard the term before reading this thread.

I guess the question is how do you look in a NFL Jersey? 🤔
No way do the hot ones prefer dad bods, you're kidding yourself
Do either of those articles have scientific basis?

Yeah...there is a scientific basis. And I've been dumped over the years by a few good looking gals who went for the "dad bods." I workout everyday; running 4 days a week and lifting the other 3. I have a low bady fat percentage, well muscled and decent ab development...and I lose out to dad bods 😞. I was at a local mall the other night and observed several dad bod types with hot women clutched to their arms...unbelievable! (I pay more attention this now when I'm out and about). And as the one post mentioned, NFL games are ridiculous with good looking women hanging out with the dad bods in their NFL jerseys. I think I'm going to scale back on working out and put on some fudge on around my waist and see what happens.

No idea. Haven't worn one since I was 12.
